ABOUT KISCODEP
Kibera Slums Community Development Program (KISCODEP) is a non profit making organization registered by the NGO Co-ordination Board in December 2007, and whose activities are tailored towards poverty alleviation, employment creation and wealth creation through establishing sector specific programs geared towards community development.

Our team has a strong foundation in community development. We have established ourselves as a community organization in the heart of poverty alleviation, employment creation and wealth creation through establishing sector specific programs geared towards community development in the Kibera slum,
AREAS OF CONCERN
Our mission to promote and improve the living standards of the poor within Kibera community focuses on the following areas.
EDUCATION
Promotion of class one enrollment of children through subsidizing the school fees and supply of food and equipment.
HIV/AIDS
Providing home-based care for people living with HIV/AIDS and organizing awareness campaign programs.
COMPUTING
KISCODEP offers Computer Training through its IT program, KISCOM. The focus is on youth, the ECD children and members.
OVCs SUPPORT
We assist vulnerable children who continue up to secondary schools to meet their school fees costs.
ENVIRONMENT
KISCODEP is concerned with development planning and has established pragmatic programs to improve the environment.
MICRO FINANCE
The organization has introduced “mini” micro finance, where CBO members are engaged in group savings and loans.
ENERGY
KISCODEP works with a UK company Gennex Elite to provide solar lantern lamps and panels affordably for the Community.
